     Lincoln wove the seat for this rustic maple chair, which was returned recently to New Salem, Il when he lived there as a young man. Full-scale plans show how to build the chair and how to duplicate Lincoln’s original weaving job. The chair is 36-5/16-in.high to the top of it’s straight back The seat is 15-3/8-in. high because people were shorter back in 1835. But, it’s ideal height today for pulling on boots in a front hall. Includes plans for an adjustable ”V” block drill press jig. ______________________________________________________________________________________________
